| Details: Job ID: 4074Position Description: Frymaster, a member of the Manitowoc Foodservice family of companies, global leaders in commercial foodservice equipment, is seeking an innovative Engineer. In addition to industry-leading fryers, Frymaster manufactures commercial fryer filtration equipment (built-in and portable), foodservice equipment computers, water-bath rethermalizers and pasta cookers. Key responsibilities of this position include designing new products by researching, planning, and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and directing and coordinating activities involved in repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Reporting directly to the Manager Engineering, this position is based in Shreveport, La.Position Requirements: Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, marketing and service specifications, agency requirements, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Design products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, machines and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, electrical or heat transfer systems. Plan and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems. Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation requirements to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design, intent, applicable agency requirements, and customer specifications. Coordinate the specification of operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of equipment and systems. Design components and systems to interface with equipment, hardware and software. Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate equipment or system malfunctions. Manages project resources and engineering teams and participates in cross functional teams to bring projects to completion according to the New Product Introduction process.Position Attributes: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in product development required. Background in Foodservice equipment a plus Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required. Experience in 3D Cad required, pro-E preferred PE license preferred Project Management experience preferred Must have Microsoft Office Suite skills | ||||
